Experience Enhanced Education

Seeking to better understand global change

At Washington State University, students are offered opportunities both in and out of the classroom.  On WSU's residential campus, students are never more than a few minutes away from an opportunity to participate. We are proud to give our students an experience-enhanced education that will prepare them to graduate work-ready from day one.

Learn more from WSU students what it is like to be a Coug!

  • Join one of the 20-plus student clubs that organize a variety of activities, including guest speakers, field trips, and social events.
  • Get real-world experience in engineering or architecture while leading a team regionally and nationally to robotics, concrete canoe, bridge-building, chemically-powered car, or environmental design competitions.  Student groups have also build a solar-powered boat and a model airplane.
  • Work with faculty and graduate students on research projects. Several undergraduates have even published their work in scientific journals.
